Andrea Hedrick is a near twenty-year investment industry veteran with a demonstrated successful career spanning top to bottom capital stack private credit and equity investments. She is passionate about driving change within the investment industry by mentoring and developing young talent and strives to embody a leadership style of high character, transparency, and respect.

As a lead investor and proven top performing originator, Andrea brings solutions based capital structures to her extensive network of entrepreneurs, C-suite management teams, family offices, funds, and third-party referrals. Prior to Amateras, Andrea was part of the four-person team that launched Stonegate Capital in 2016. She was responsible for developing and spearheading the platform’s go-to-market strategy, leading a team that ramped to close on >$75MM a year in senior secured investments with over >$400MM in annual deal volumes into the lower middle market. Andrea established CRM, marketing software, coverage lists, and a market calling methodology to cement a nationally recognized brand name. Andrea ascended to CEO of the platform in 2019 and led all aspects of the firm, including fundraising, running Investment Committee, and developing and improving credit policies. Under her leadership, the platform generated superior double digit returns and the best two years of performance since launch.

Prior to Stonegate Capital, Andrea was part of the initial team tasked with rebuilding the Chicago office for Foothill Capital, becoming one of the largest portfolios nationally for Wells Fargo’s senior secured leveraged lending group. Andrea received her BA in Economics from the University of Michigan, where she was a team captain for the nationally ranked women’s swim team. Personally, Andrea loves exploring with her family and immersing herself in local cultures during her travels. She hopes to find time to get back into racing triathlons and marathons but will first need to figure out how to squeeze in training between her son and twin daughters’ sport schedules.
