Jane Shekman is an entrepreneur and an experienced healthcare executive with more than twenty years of demonstrated and successful history in building and scaling healthcare companies. Jane co-founded LifeCare Home Health Services in 2006 as a Medicare-certified Home Health Agency.  The company is a comprehensive post-acute care provider that offers medical home health, private nursing, care management, remote patient monitoring, transitional care, outpatient home therapy, behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, and medical social work services.  She established and grew relationships with CMS, Managed Care Organizations, Departments on Aging, Rehabilitation, and Human Service.  

Following a successful exit from LifeCare, Jane founded an advisory practice, JS Healthcare Advisory. She guides companies and boards in healthcare, wellness, aging, and technology industries on strategic planning, product positioning for maximized revenue growth, technological innovation, operational efficiencies, and regulatory compliance.  As an M&A advisor, Jane consults companies on both the buy and sell sides on business due diligence, valuation, and post-merger integration.  

Jane currently serves on the Advisory Board for LifeCare. She is an executive Board Member of the Illinois Homecare and Hospice Council, serves on the Nursing & CNA Advisory Boards in the college of nursing, and is a member of the University of Chicago Cancer Research Auxiliary Board.  Jane is a board-certified fellow and a standing member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

She completed her Executive Master's in Healthcare Administration from the University of Southern California Sol Price School of Public Policy and a Bachelor's in Liberal Arts and Sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago. 

Personally, Jane enjoys traveling with her family and two children and playing golf. Jane is a member of the LPGA Amateur Golf Association and keeps busy playing on the traveling team as weather permits in Chicago.
