Kate Lindberg

Kate Lindberg is the Chief Investment Officer of Sawdust Investment Management Corp. Kate has 15+ years of experience overseeing the global investment portfolios of the single‐family office of the founder of CDW Corp., and the Circle of Service Foundation located in Chicago, Illinois. Kate is responsible for strategic and tactical asset allocation as well as the development and implementation of risk models and analytical portfolio management tools.
Prior to 2005, Kate was a Vice President and founding member of the Northern Trust Private Equity Fund of Funds (now 50 South Capital), where she was responsible for fundraising as well as sourcing and analyzing venture capital and buyout investments. Prior to Northern, Kate was an Associate at William Blair Mezzanine Capital and started her career at the First National Bank of Chicago, where she held the following roles: Director in High Yield, Assistant Vice President in Corporate Banking, Trader in Derivatives and completed the First Scholar management training program.
Kate earned her MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Middlebury College.
Kate is an Advisory Board Member for both Invest for Kids and the Illinois Growth and Innovation Fund (ILGIF). In addition, Kate is a Strategic Council Member of the Private Equity Committee for the Private Directors Association. Kate volunteers as a USA certified swimming official and her interests include open water swimming, skiing, and eating fresh seafood off the boat when back ‘home’ in Maine.
