Rita Brogley
Technology Executive and Board Director
Rita Brogley is an entrepreneur and software executive with more than 30 years of experience in building and scaling sales, marketing, product and operations teams in both private and public companies. She has extensive knowledge in B2B SaaS software, digital marketing and analytics and multi-channel marketing and personalization software.
Most recently, Rita led Product Growth and Partnerships for Facebook’s business messaging platforms, including Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram Direct. Rita worked with Facebook’s largest clients to develop and integrate these business messaging platforms into marketing and customer care channels for consumers and built relationships with 3rd party technology companies integrating into Facebook’s APIs.
Prior to Facebook, Ms. Brogley served as President and CEO of MyBuys, a SaaS marketing technology company that developed personalization software for retailers across web, email and display advertising channels. Before joining MyBuys, Rita was the CEO of Amadesa, a technology provider of website testing and optimization for retailers, financial services and CPG companies, until being acquired by LivePerson. Rita also served as the President and CEO of Moxi Digital, a set-top box software and hardware company that worked with cable, satellite and telecommunication companies worldwide and was acquired by Paul Allen. Prior to Moxi Digital, Rita was the Director of International Business Development and Marketing for Microsoft, a management consultant with Bain and Company, and in leadership positions with Hewlett-Packard.
Rita earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University and a Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School. She is on the Board of Directors and Audit Committee of Trinity Health, a $19B healthcare system in the U.S. Rita is also on the Board of Directors and Chair of the Compensation Committee for Strategic Education, Inc. (STRA), an education services and technology company and the first independent director for Narvar, a venture-backed software company based in San Francisco, CA.
As a member of Women Corporate Directors and the Society of Women Engineers, Rita devotes much of her time to creating and advancing opportunities for young women in STEM. In her free time, Rita enjoys sailing J/24’s in the San Francisco Bay, traveling and spending time with her husband and two teenage daughters.
