Sheila Stanziale
Former CEO of Spudlove Snacks, Consumer Products Executive, and Board Director
Sheila Stanziale is an experienced independent board director with significant operating experience as a CEO in public, private equity and prominent family ownership structures. Her blue-chip underpinning with leading global companies Nabisco, PepsiCo, Diageo and The Hain Celestial Group, resulted in BUGM and President roles with P&L responsibility ranging from $3M - $1B. Over a twenty-five year period, Sheila developed a proven track record for developing talent, transforming businesses and producing dramatic turnaround results for established household favorites like OREO, Mountain Dew, Guinness and Smirnoff Ice and contemporary, “better-for-you” brands including Naked Juice, BluePrint Juice and Earth’s Best.
Sheila left the public company arena in 2015 to be CEO of Mighty Leaf Tea, a global tea company based in San Francisco. As a first-time portfolio company CEO and with the support of executives she previously mentored and subsequently recruited, she delivered a successful financial transaction, meeting the cash-on-cash return requirements of her private equity sponsors, JAB Holdings and Next World Capital, ahead of schedule. More recently, she served as the Founder & CEO of Spudlove Snacks, backed by a family owned, multi-billion private company in the agriculture sector. Once again, Sheila leveraged her strong reputation for leadership and recruited a team of experts, an outside advisory board and developed a rewarding equity program for all parties, aligning her investors.
Sheila currently serves on the board of directors at Krispy Krunchy Chicken, The Wine Group, and Bush Brothers & Company. She recently also served on the board of directors at Foster Farms.
Previously, as President of Diageo-Guinness USA and later, the Hain-Celestial Group, Sheila interacted regularly with outside board directors and the external analysts who tracked these public companies’ performance. Sheila is a guest lecturer at Chapman University’s Argyros School of Business and is an active member of NACD’s Northern and Southern California chapters. She earned her B.S. from Montclair State University and her MBA from Rider University, both in New Jersey. She resides in southern California and Park City, Utah and enjoys skiing and cycling.
